MPI Education Fund Scholarship
SIBU: Due to the current challenging economic situation and the soaring cost of higher education, some parents with low incomes are unable to provide their children with opportunities for tertiary education. Parents hope their children will have a bright future; they place their hopes on their children for the future. They will unavoidably feel bad in their hearts if they are unable to provide their children with the opportunity to attend college.
The MPI Education Fund Scholarship provides secondary school leavers with an affordable pathway to gain internationally and professionally recognised diploma and degree qualifications. It aims to reduce the financial burden of parents and help their children fulfil their dreams; as the Chinese saying goes, “The children are our future!” The student counsellor in charge of financial aid for students at MPI and also Malaysia-registered Counsellor Mr Dereck Wong Ik Kang explained, “If a secondary school student, even if his or her results are not particularly good, meets the basic entry requirements of the course and is committed to study, he or she can apply for this education fund scholarship to support the study of any diploma or bachelor’s degree programme offered by MPI.” Applicants for education fund scholarships, in addition to submitting the registration form for enrollment and application form for education fund scholarships, will also need to go through interviews and other assessments before they can be approved for education fund scholarships. Students applying for this education fund scholarship will have the opportunity to receive a lump sum to cover up to 100% of tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, library fees, hostel fees, and a living allowance.
