Methodist Pilley Institute, established in 1991, is the oldest private higher learning institution in Sibu, Sarawak. 1. Accounting and Finance Lecturer
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To conduct teaching and provide academic support and ensure that programmes are delivered in accordance with the prescribed standard/quality.
- To monitor student report progress in terms of academic performance and attendance.
- To offer counselling to students and provide pastoral care.
- Nurture student talents and potential through extracurricular activities.
- Involve in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
- Work in collaboration with sales and marketing to achieve targeted student enrolment, including organizing seminars, college activities, open days and programme previews.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in a related discipline. Candidates with PhDs are preferred. Fresh graduates with PhDs are also encouraged to apply.
- At least 2 years of lecturing experience in tertiary education. Relevant industrial experience is considered as an added value.
- Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in facilitating teaching and learning.
- Possess good written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently.

2. Administrative Officer (Corporate Training)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To plan, manage, and support all events and activities related to the Corporate Training.
- To carry out administration related to these events and activities.
- To work proactively to ensure successful delivery of events or corporate trainings.
- To liaise with training providers, trainers, governmental agencies, etc.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Business Management / Marketing / Mass Communication or a closely related area.
- Result oriented with pro-active attitude, pleasant personality with good communication skills and written skills in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia
- Willing to learn, take on new roles when needed to.
- Able to make marketing calls and follow up.
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Able to travel as and when required .
- Must have own transport.

3. Registered Counselor
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling services to students and staff.
- Conduct mental health-related workshop for students, staff and public.
- Collaborate and consult with parents, lecturers, community organizations and other stakeholders, to assist in meeting the needs of students.
- Perform assessments, interpret tests and study student records.
- Assist in student services, orientation programs and other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Handle all administrative coordination, provide directions and guidance to students in applying for financial aids.
Requirements:
- Possess relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree in Counselling/Psychology, or equivalent.
- Must be a Registered Counsellor under Malaysian Board of Counsellors.
- At least one year of experience providing counselling services, preferably in the education industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

4. Facilities and Maintenance Executive
Job Description
- Ensure day-to-day maintenance of facilities, equipment, water piping, electrical and sanitisation and that they are in good working condition.
- Sourcing and supervising contractors to execute maintenance work and ensuring jobs are performed properly. Attend, follow-up and supervise all maintenance breakdowns and repairing work.
- Coordinate, attend and follow-up on preventative maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
- Establish procedures for the repair and maintenance and/or replacement of College facilities, systems and equipment.
- Manage and review the College’s security, enforces fire and safety policy and procedures.
- Facilities Management operations and future planning of College facilities.
Qualification:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in engineering, construction management or equivalent in related discipline with at least 2 year(s) of related working experience.
- Knowledge of all phases of physical plant operation, maintenance and repair, planning, scheduling, management, and administration of the plant; federal, state, and local regulation safety practices; record keeping and report writing.
- Available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented, and able to work under pressure to complete given tasks.

5. Education Counselor
Job Description
- Handle and follow up closely on all enquiries from walk-ins, email, calls and leads from marketing activities in a prompt and effective manner.
- Provide counselling and careful explanation (face-to face or via other media) on education guidance to prospective students and/or their parents and ensuring such experience is positive and satisfactory.
- Plan and participate in student recruitment activities, such as school fairs, education fairs, workshops and other marketing activities.
- Develop surveys, brochures, banners, online poster for marketing promotional purposes.
- To help increase traffic for company social media sites with regular posting.
Qualification:
- Degree in Business Management / Marketing / International Business or other management-related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Diploma holder candidates with relevant experience is encouraged to apply.
