MPI to conduct Intensive English Programme in Jan, May and July

Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) will conduct an Intensive English Programme (IEP) designed for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their command of the language.

The purpose of IEP is to equip learners with reading, writing. listening and speaking skills for academic as well as for social and professional purposes.
The intake for the programme is divided into three sessions on Jan 11, May 18 and July 26. Both the January and July intake is for a 13-week course while that of May is a six-week course. All lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 1.15pm to 3.15pm.

MPI here will offer the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) 1, beginning next year.

According to its press statement yesterday. MUET 1 is a three-semester course with examinations conducted three times a year. The first semester runs for three weeks, starting Jan 11, 2022 The second semester is for six weeks, starting May 18, and the final semester is for 13 weeks, starting July 26.

“Since 2021, MUET 1 has been aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) which is an international reference tool to measure the different stages of language learner.”

MPI Opens Intake for Sejong Korean language course

Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is offering Sejong Korean language course for college and secondary school students as well as working adults.
According to its press release, the course to enrich experience by learning another language is taught by South Korean lecturer John Cho who is currently residing here. Cho has taught Korean language in China, the United States and Malaysia.

Early Childhood Education department of Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is now a partner to MYReaders, a non-profit organization, to develop children’s literacy skills through a structured and sustainable reading programme provided for children between 6- to 12-year-old from B40 communities.

Online National Workshop ‘Standard Kualiti Prasekolah Kebangsaan (SKPK) 2.0′

SIBU, 25/10/2021- Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI), Sarawak 3rd, 6th, 7th Division Kindergarten Association, and ECCE Council had successfully hosted an online national workshop ‘Standard Kualiti Prasekolah Kebangsaan (SKPK) 2.0 on 23 Oct 2021. The workshop had drawn a total of 275 early childhood educators from all over Malaysia to participate and interact with our experienced speaker, Mr Cheah Eng Khoon, treasurer of ECCE council Malaysia, CEO & Managing Director of Talento Academy, Kuala Lumpur.

诗巫卫理中学在砂沙大马教育文凭考试数学常识比赛中，勇夺校际组与个人组冠军，该校学生林大耀在个人组中夺冠。该赛是由卫理毕理学院和英国特许公认会计师公会联办，目的是提升中学生对数学的认识，并激发大马教育文凭考试应考生对数学的兴趣。这项比赛获得来自砂沙106间中学，一共2千零27位学生参与

SPM Form 5 Prinsip Perakaunan Workshop

Methodist Pilley Institute and ACCA Malaysia have jointly organized SPM Prinsip Perakaunan Workshop for Form 5 students. The workshop was conducted by Puan Ong Ai Ching, a Guru Cemerlang with 32 years of experience in teaching Prinsip Perakaunan. The workshop was attended by over 1200 students from 60 schools from Sabah and Sarawak. The purpose of this workshop is to instil interest in the study of accounting among SPM students and enhance their knowledge in the subject of SPM Prinsip Perakaunan, to better prepare SPM Form 5 students to sit for SPM Prinsip Perakaunan Exam, and to create awareness on the accountancy profession among SPM students and encourage them to pursue a career in accountancy.

國中四數學常識賽巫衛理奪校際組冠軍
