SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute will be hosting an experiential learning day camp 8.30am to 12.30pm, Feb 26.
Its press release here yesterday encouraged school leavers to explore their potential, learn about various education pathways for future careers by joining the camp.

SIBU: Human interaction is still important for general well-being as well as better teaching and learning outcome contrary to the notion that online teaching and working from home will be the future, Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) principal cum CEO Hii King Kai deliberated on this in his speech during MPI graduation ceremony at Methodist Wei Kuok Hall here yesterday morning.
Register for MPI’s social work courses by Jan 15
SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is offering social work courses in English via blended learning January to April 2022. According to its press release, there is no entry requirement for these courses.
All New Students at MPI to report on 3 Jan
Methodist Pilley Instirute (MPI) will begin the January 2022 semester on Jan 3. All new students for the bachelor’s degree, diploma and professional courses need to report at 8am on Jan 3 (Monday) and classes will start on the following day.
All lectures will be on faceto-face basis except for courses such as early childhood education social work and Chartered Certified Accountant professional level which are conducted via blended learning.

As we usher in 2022, we eagerly await to welcome you back on campus for Jan’22 semester. We all have been cooped up for too long, it’s time to come back to campus for a more enriching and interactive F2F learning experience.
New students will report on 3 Jan (Mon), while classes will begin on 4 Jan (Tue). For your information, all lectures will be on F2F basis except courses that are conducted via blended learning mode, and a few selected courses taught by part-time lecturers.
Please abide by the guidelines stated in the attached summary of SOPs to ensure a safer environment for everyone.

MPI to conduct Intensive English Programme in Jan, May and July
Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) will conduct an Intensive English Programme (IEP) designed for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their command of the language.
The purpose of IEP is to equip learners with reading, writing. listening and speaking skills for academic as well as for social and professional purposes.
The intake for the programme is divided into three sessions on Jan 11, May 18 and July 26. Both the January and July intake is for a 13-week course while that of May is a six-week course. All lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 1.15pm to 3.15pm.
MPI here will offer the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) 1, beginning next year.
According to its press statement yesterday. MUET 1 is a three-semester course with examinations conducted three times a year. The first semester runs for three weeks, starting Jan 11, 2022 The second semester is for six weeks, starting May 18, and the final semester is for 13 weeks, starting July 26.
“Since 2021, MUET 1 has been aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) which is an international reference tool to measure the different stages of language learner.”
MPI Opens Intake for Sejong Korean language course
Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is offering Sejong Korean language course for college and secondary school students as well as working adults.
According to its press release, the course to enrich experience by learning another language is taught by South Korean lecturer John Cho who is currently residing here. Cho has taught Korean language in China, the United States and Malaysia.

Early Childhood Education department of Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is now a partner to MYReaders, a non-profit organization, to develop children’s literacy skills through a structured and sustainable reading programme provided for children between 6- to 12-year-old from B40 communities.
