Register for MPI’s social work courses by Jan 15
SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) is offering social work courses in English via blended learning January to April 2022. According to its press release, there is no entry requirement for these courses.
Interpersonaland Counselling Skills in Social Work Practice by Derek Wong Ik kang will be on Saturday 9am to noon. Tuition fee is RM510.
Dr Ling How Kee will be conducting the course on Public Policy, the Law and Social Work Practice on Saturday 9am to noon with the tuition fee of RM510. She will also conduct the course on Social Work Methods 1 – Casework on Monday and Thursday 10am to noon. Tuition fee is RM680.
Field of Practice II – Health and Mental Health by Gill Raja is on Monday and Thursday 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Tuition fee is RM680.
The course on Drug and Alcohol Addiction will be conducted by Poh Siew Lin on Wednesday 7.30pm to 9.30pm and Friday 2pm to 3pm. Tuition fee is RM510.
Social Work Methods 3 – Community Work conducted by Boon Nyuk Phin will be held Monday and Thursday 2pm to 4pm Tuition fee is RM680.
Tuition fee does not include library fee of RM80 and registration fee of RM50.

畢理學院辦6社工課程 下周六報名截止
卫理毕理学院将于今年1月至4月开办6项社工课程，让社会大众有机会选修一个或多个课程，报名截止日期为本月15日（星期六）。
这些课程无入学资格要求，凡是想学习社工知识和计巧的人士，都可以报名参加。课程以英语为教学媒介语，并以线上混和模式进行。
毕理学院将开办6项课程，第一项课程是社会工作实践中的人际关系和咨询技巧，讲师为黄益康，时间是每星期六上午9时至中午12时，学费为510令吉。
第二项课程是公共政策与法律和社会工作实践，讲师为林孝琦博士，时间是每星期六上午9时至中午12时，学费为510令吉。
第三项课程是社工方法之个案工作，讲师为林孝琦博士，时间是每星期一上午10时至中午12时，以及每星期四上午10时至中午12时，学费为680令吉。
第四项课程是实践领域之健康和心理健康，讲师为Gill Raja，时间是每星期一晚上7时30分至9时30分，以及每星期四晚上7时30分至9时30分，学费为680令吉。
第五项课程是药物和酒精成瘾，讲师为布秀玲，时间是每星期三晚上7时30分至9时30分，以及每星期五下午2时至3时，学费为510令吉。
第六项课程是社会工作方法之社区工作，讲师为温玉萍，时间是每星期一下午2时至4时，以及每星期四下午2时至4时，学费为680令吉。
上述学费不包括图书馆费80令吉及报名费50令吉。
