SIBU: About 15 students of Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) participated in the Honor of Kings (HOK) Tournament on Feb 23 and Feb 24, 2026, at the campus.
The annual event, which started in 2025 by MPI’s Computer Science Club, aimed to help students better understand the computer science programme and encourage them to develop an interest in joining the field.
The club’s advisor, Ngang Tuong Kiet, said the tournament was open only to MPI students, and three teams competed.
“Playing HOK helps to promote teamwork and the spirit of unity,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to the club’s president Mohd Iskandar bin Murad, four teams were originally required; however, only three teams signed up for the tournament. Each team comprised of five members.
On Feb 25, 2026, the club held a prize-giving ceremony for the winners. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and principal of MPI, Dr Lu Huong Ying, presented the prizes to the winners.
