SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aim Smart Academics Sdn Bhd after the launch of the Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education on Oct 30, 2026.
The MoU was signed between Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Principal of MPI Dr Lu Huong Ying and Manager of Aim Smart Academics Sdn Bhd Qistina Rosnita Nyuriek. It was witnessed by MPI’s Head of Early Childhood Education Department Doreen Ting and Aim Smart Academics Sdn Bhd Administrative cum Human Resource Executive Jitia Getem.
It was also witnessed by MPI’s board members.
With the signing of the MoU, Aim Smart Academics is officially becoming MPI’s industrial partner.
MPI has recently launched the Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education. The two-and-a-half-year programme is now open for the February 2027 intake. Those eligible to apply for the programme are Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers who obtained at least three credits (C), O-Level leavers with a minimum of three Grade Cs and Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) leavers with a minimum of three Grade Bs.
Micro-Credentials and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) are available as alternative pathways for those who do not fulfil the entry requirements.
