Personal Profile – TAN Kee Hian

Tan Kee Hian is a Senior International Business Advisor, working with private and public organizations globally, and across a wide range of sectors on policies, strategies, management and organization. He is the Managing Director of KHT and Co, Senior Global Expert in the Blue Ocean Strategy Network, and a Founding Partner of iGlobe Advisors and the MAC Partnership. He is a keynote speaker on strategy and innovation, with special emphasis on Blue Ocean Strategy, at public and in-house conferences and management retreats, conducts training workshops, and leads major initiatives to implement Blue Ocean Strategy.

Kee Hian has thirty years of international business experience in global management consultancies and multinational corporations (MNC’s). He was a Senior Vice President and Member of the Global Executive Committee of Gemini Consulting (Cap Gemini). Based in Boston and London, he created and led several business units and centres of excellence. He was a Vice President at A. T. Kearney, Europe.

He is the Consultant to the Economic Planning Unit (Malaysian Development Unit) on the Blue Ocean Strategy Study to “outline the macro-economic strategic directions to accelerate and sustain economic growth” in Malaysia. Other clients in Malaysia include various government ministries and agencies, Petronas, DRB-Hicom Group, Paramount Corporation, Lion Group, Public Bank, and Maxis Communications.
• He works with many ministries and agencies of the Singapore Government, and private sector organizations, having trained approximately 3,000 civil servants and managers on Blue Ocean Strategy and innovation.
