12 - Disciples Scholarship 

To train students to be “with good reputation, filled with the Spirit and of wisdom,” besides offering tertiary education opportunities to those committed and active Christian students from poorer financial background.

Term of Conditions 

  1. A maximum of 12 candidates are selected for every batch of new students enrolling at the Institute in January and June each year. The Institute reserves the right to offer the scholarships to fewer than 12 candidates if there are not enough candidates who meet the requirement.
  2. Successful candidates will enjoy full scholarship (tuition fees only) for the duration of studies of any one of the diploma programs offered by the Institute.
  3. Successful Candidates must sign an agreement to study at the Institute for at least 2 years. Otherwise, the student or his/her guarantors must compensate the Institute for the amount paid for the student for the duration of his/her studies at the Institute.
  4. Successful candidates must maintain at least an average mark of 70% in all subjects taken during an academic year for them to be eligible.
  5. Successful candidates will be required to attend discipleship-training sessions and participate in activities that are related to their spiritual and intellectual developments.
    The scholarship is non-transferable and it cannot be redeemed as cash.

Criteria of Selection 

  1. The candidate must be a Christian
  2. The candidates must be active in church, especially in activities related to training of youths.
  3. The candidate must be good academically (minimum 3As+2B3s in SPM or 2As+1B in SM3, or equivalent in any of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Bahasa Malaysia, Science, History, Geography, Moral Studies, Bible Knowledge, Economics, Commerce, Principle of Accounting,Computer Science)
  4. The candidate must be committed to earning a tertiary educational certificate.
    Candidates from poorer financial background may be given preference.

Application Procedures 

  1. Applicants must complete the application form and send together with required documents to the Institute one month before semester commences. The form can be obtained from the Institute.
  2. Short-listed candidates will be called in for interview(s) by the members of Scholarship Selection Panel.
  3. Successful candidate will be notified officially before the beginning of semester.
    If students who receive the scholarships based on forecast results but fail to attain the minimum academic requirements during the actual SPM or SM3 exams, they may continue the Scholarship if they can maintain an average mark of 70% in all subjects taken during their first semester.
